Log Splitter

-- GaryHammond --

My son had bought a house in 2002. It came with a wood-burning fireplace and wood shed stocked with wood. But he needed some log-splitting equipment to help with preparing more firewood, so I built this as a Christmas gift in 2008. It uses a couple of hydraulic cylinders I had on hand left over from years in the lawn and garden business. The hydraulic system is powered by a hydraulic pump on our Bolens HT-23 tractor.
